I write within the tension of spirituality and culture, politics and theology, existing and emerging forms of church, the Kingdom of God and Empire America, modern and postmodern thought, & the gritty drama that is my pilgrim story.

Hey Jer, I am excited for you in finishing your first book! It sounds awesome and I can't wait to read it. (I get an autographed copy, right?) I also enjoyed this post. I love how you talk about embedding yourself in their lifestyle and teaching them to follow Jesus instead of running in to convert them to Christianity. I have come to realize the importance of relationships in life. It is an amazing feeling to be surrounded by family and friends who love and support you...and isn't that what everybody wants? You can preach the Good News until you're blue in the face, but they are more prone to actually listen if they know that you really care about them.
